BIÑAN CITY: A 19-year old agriculture student from University of the Philippines-Los Banos was killed after she was robbed by a suspect inside her house at Ferlins Subd., Brgy San Vicente this city.
Laguna Provincial Director Sr Supt Fausto Manzanilla identified the fatality as Maria Victoria who was found by her father lying inside her bedroom with stab wounds on her body.
The father immediately brought his daughter to Perpetual Medical Center but her attending physician pronounced her dead on arrival.
Among the stolen items were a lap top computer, cell phone, camera and an undetermined amount of cash.
“There was no sign of rape though,” Manzanilla said.
Manzanilla also said that on their follow-up operation, a witness saw one Benigno Nayle Jr hurriedly leaving the crime scene, wearing a bloodied shirt.
Nayle changed his shirt, packed his bag, wore a ball cap and together with his family and relatives, left their house.
Police are tracking down the whereabouts of the suspect while Laguna Gov. Jorge ER Ejercito is set to give a reward to whoever can help police arrest the suspect.
