Cagayan de Oro’s No. 10 pusher falls

Another targeted drug personality fell in an entrapment operation hatched by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), this time in Cagayan De Oro City.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac, Jr. said that the arrested suspect, Frankie Bagnol, 39, ranked 10th in the Target List of drug personalities in Northern Mindanao, was the third targeted drug personality arrested in as many days.

Bagnol was arrested by elements of PDEA Regional Office 10 (PDEA RO10), under Director Roberto Opeña, after he sold more or less 10 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, to a PDEA poseur-buyer in Zone 8, Bonbon, Cagayan de Oro City on November 19, 2012. Also recovered from him were a mobile phone, a black-colored motorcycle and the 1,000-peso buy-bust money used during the transaction.

Bagnol will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II, of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which is punishable with life sentence and a fine ranging from five hundred thousand pesos to ten million pesos.

“PDEA has apprehended two other regional targeted drug personalities, Noli Mercado and Falcon Eric Fernandez in Negros Occidental and Nueva Vizcaya, respectively, in the past three days,” Cacdac said. “We have duly-shifted our operational thrusts to prioritize the capture of high value targets,” he added.
