Six most wanted persons arrested one by one

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad Benguet: Six wanted persons, including members of private armed groups (PAGs), were arrested by law enforcers in the region, in separate operations.


A tracker team of Buguias Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested the no. 7 most wanted person (MWP)—municipal level—in Buguias, Benguet province on December 4, 2012 at about 3:20 p.m. in Bagoyos, Cervantes, Ilocos Sur province.

P/Senior Insp. Ruben Labutan, deputy chief of police, who led the arresting team, identified the arrested as Daniel Dakiwas Salipnget, 30, farmer, of Tubtuba, Tubo, Abra province. He was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Agapito Laoagan Jr. of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 64 in Abatan Buguias, Benguet for Violation of Republic Act 9262, known as the violence against women and children with a recommended bail bond of P80,000 for his temporary liberty.

Subsequently, the no. 4 MWP in Paracelis, Mt. Province was also arrested by joint personnel of the Paracelis MPS, Mt. Province Police Provincial Safety Company and intelligence operatives on December 5, 2012 at 2:30 a.m. in Sitio Makilo, Brgy. Buringal, Paracelis, Mt. Province.

Armed with a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Joseph Patnaan of the RTC Branch 35 in Bontoc, Mt. Province, Julio Palangdao was arrested for cattle rustling.

On the same day, at about 7 a.m., the no.1 MWP in Penarubia, Abra for the 2nd Quarter of this year, was arrested by members of the Penarubia police at Brgy. Namarabar, Penarubia, Abra.

P/Insp. Noel Bagtunaa, acting chief of police, who led the arrest identified the suspect as Ramir Echala Bataller, 26, single, of Brgy. Namarabar, Penarrubia, Abra.

Bataller was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Jaime Dojillo of the RTC Branch 58 in Bucay, Abra for the crime of homicide and frustrated murder.

A tracker team of the Conner MPS arrested a 63-year-old man on December 4, 2012 at 3:45 a.m. in Conner, Apayao province for murder.

P/Senior Insp. James Acod, chief of police, who led the team arrested Ernesto Bunuan Cuntapay, married, native of Tuao, Cagayan province and a resident of Brgy. Daga, Conner, Apayao.

At about 6:30 p.m. at Tabanda Park, Kilometer 5, La Trinidad, Benguet, the tracker team of the La Trinidad MPS also arrested theft suspect Romy Vergara Aliga, 35, self-employed, of Saclit, Sadanga, Mt Province, and presently residing at Buyagan, Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet.

Elements of the Buguias police led by Senior Insp. Ruben Labutan, deputy chief of police, arrested Nelson Ligo Fabro, 22, single, farmer of Laya, Ramot, Santol, La Union province on December 5, 2012 at about 5:20 p.m. inside the Gia’s Place Videoke Bar in Abatan, Buguias, Benguet.

By virtue of a Warrant issued by Judge Manuel Aquino of RTC Branch 34 Balaoan, La Union, Fabro was arrested for inflicting violence against women and children.
