IFUGAO RAPE SUSPECT NABBED
CAMP BADO DANGWA, Benguet: Police authorities have arrested a suspect facing rape and child abuse cases over the week. Chief Supt. Benjamin Magalong, police regional chief identified the
arrested as Roderick Tumaydan Tuguinay, 22, married, laborer, native of Lower Pitawan, O-ong, Hingyon, Ifugao province and presently residing at Sitio Bit-ang, Runruno, Nueva Vizcaya. He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Ester Piscoso Flor, Branch 14 of the Regional Trial Court of Lagawe, Ifugao for rape and violation of Article 1 Section 3 (b) in relation to Sec. 10 of Republic Act 7610 with no bail recommended. He was arrested by a component team headed by Senior Insp. Angelito Pallaya Jr. of the Ifugao PPO-Intelligence branch, Chief Insp. Allan Guguyon of the Ifugao Provincial Public Safety Co., Chief Insp. Extor Maciste Serrano of the Nueva Vizcaya PPSC and Senior Insp. Regelio Garcia, chief of police of the the Quezon MPS.

BONTOC WOMEN LEARN SENSE OF HUMUS
BONTOC, Mountain Province: Bontoc Market Vendors Association (Bomarva) turn garbage into fertilizer. Bomarva President Paula Acofo said that seven members of the association started composting waste materials from the Bontoc market since December 2010. Bio-degradable waste composed of rejected vegetable leaves, poultry feathers, coffee bean hulls, egg shells, meat bones and other waste materials from the market were collected by two men employed by the town’s local government unit. At least 185 kilos of decomposable waste is collected everyday to a high of 500 kilograms especially on Sunday market days. The municipal units also provided tubs, hoes and shovels. Everyday at 6 a.m., garbage is hauled and transported in a cart and brought to a lot in Sitio Eyeb. The waste was mixed in three compost pits measuring two meters wide by two meters deep at a 340-square meter lot. Bio-degradable wastes are mixed every seven days for at least three months after which the materials turn to compost.

ILOILO SCOUTS FOR NEW TOP LAWMAN
ILOILO CITY :This city is looking for a new police director to replace outgoing Senior Supt. Marietto Valerio, ICPO chief. Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said that he is congratulating Valerio for a job very well done in ensuring peace and order in the city and will not stop the police chief in seeking out for a higher position at the PNP general headquarters. Earlier, Valerio wrote to the mayor of his intention to leave his post at the police office and is awaiting orders from Supt. Agrimero Cruz Jr. , PNP regional director chief. Valerio was noted to have sought reassignment to the national office since 2012 pending his promotions at the PNP.
