Horoscope for 2013

What can people expect in 2013, which, under the Chinese calendar, is the year of the water snake? Prudence would dictate that people exercise the greatest caution in their spending,

given the economic crisis that continues to grip some European countries. Everybody should save, save, save. And since it is a snake year, people should also be on the lookout for scams and deceit.

Here are some predictions and tips for the coming year:

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
Times are changing, and you know it. Even your behavior and reactions reflect an integration of a new style. You will be on cruise control until mid-June. At that point, issues will appear on the home front. Suddenly, what you have won’t be enough—you’ll want more. Perhaps you will want more family members to live with you, or maybe you’ll want to buy a second home. Expansion is the name of the game. Many of you have undergone, or are about to face, a major change in your life. This change will set you free and allow you to pursue a heartfelt desire. Drop the word “should” from your vocabulary. If you are attached, your partner might be reacting to the ever-evolving you. Understand and indulge this person. He or she, in return, will greet the transformation more easily. Motto of the Year: Step one in manifesting your dreams is a strong determination.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
Now through spring, you’ll save and create a bigger nest egg for yourself. You might want to spend as you see more money coming in. Hold off on making any financial decisions until after spring 2013, when your reasoning will be more solid. If you are attached, a partner might test your limits, which could add a cold chill to your bond. Make an effort to understand where this person is coming from. Many Bulls will experience a new friend in their lives—one who inspires them in some way. Some of you might decide to live a dream. Why not go for it? Come summer, communication excels, and you will be far happier than you have been in a long time. You also will identify with others more easily, as often you can detach and imagine what it must be like to be them. Relationships in your life start to flourish. Motto of the Year: If you can dream it, you can have it. Don’t settle for less.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)
Many of you are out socializing, networking and making your mark on the world. Others are well aware of you. If you are single, open your eyes, and you, too, will become aware. As a result, you will see all of your potential suitors. You also will be on a roll, both professionally and financially, through spring. From summer 2013 through the remainder of the year, you could be a candidate for a pay raise, promotion, lottery win or surprise inheritance. Money is on an upward cycle, which makes certain aspects of your life easier. Negotiations with a partner over money might be difficult, as you will start to observe new sides of this person. You might not like what you see. Unexpected events and new realizations steer you on a more authentic and happier course than the one you have been on for years. Motto of the Year: Don’t fight the inevitable.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)
You are in the last year of a 12-year cycle, which ends mid-June. Look back 11 to 12 years ago. What did you begin? It could involve work, a relationship, a wish, etc. How did it turn out? In the next few months, it is important to release any vestiges of what has not worked, because after mid-June, you will begin a new life cycle. Greet new opportunities with arms wide open, as you will be unusually fortunate the first year of this cycle. There will be many highs and lows, yet everything will end on a positive note. A partner been, and will continue to be, controlling and somewhat feisty. You might receive updated lessons about control and power. Know that the only way to win is not to play. Back off when this behavior starts. Trust that whatever comes down your path will turn out to be positive, even if you initially do not like the look of it. This year, you will be carrying a lucky rabbit’s foot in your back pocket. Motto of the year: Remember your mantra: I am lucky.
