PAL passenger dies on plane
A 59-year-old passenger of Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight PR-103 died while he was on the plane that was on its way to Manila after a brief stopover in Guam.
The passenger identified as Daniel Samson, a cancer patient, developed cardio respiratory arrest aboard the plane about an hour and a half before reaching Guam.
According to airport physician Cesar Ocampo, medical personnel at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminal 2 received an early morning call from PAL Station Control informing them of the dead passenger on board flight 103.
Based on reports, immediate cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and automatic external defibrillator were given by a co-passenger identified as Purification Marquez, a physician, but to no avail.
Samson was pronounced dead after about 10 minutes.
With the special arrangement made between the Guam airport authorities and PAL pilot Captain Jessy Bautro, the plane was allowed to continue the flight back to Manila with the dead passenger on board.
