Aquino appoints DSWD, DOTC undersecretaries

President Benigno Aquino 3rd has appointed new officials in various government agencies, including undersecretaries of the departments of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Transportation and Communications (DOTC).



Palace deputy spokesman Abigail Valte, who announced the appointments on Friday, said that the President signed the appointment letter of Angelita Gregorio-Medel as undersecretary of the DSWD and Catherine Jennifer Francis Gonzales as undersecretary of the DOTC.

Aqunio also appointed Maria Karen Olidan as director 3 in the Transportation agency, replacing Jaime Raphael Feliciano. In the Department of National Defense, Dinna Anna Lee Cartujano was appointed as acting director 3, replacing Iluminada Afuang.

The President also designated Isidro Antonio Asper as a member of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority or Tesda board, representing the labor sector.

In the Department of Finance, the chief executive appointed Ferdinand Sales as acting director of the Securities and Exchange Commission, replacing Benito Cataran.

He also appointed Edilberto Tayap as acting director 4 of the Department of Public Works and Highways, replacing Sinaolan Macarambon.
