Drug suspect nabbed inside DOJ

A man who is accused of selling two kilos of shabu was arrested on Friday by elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-National Capital Region (PDEA-NCR), after attending a preliminary investigation hearing of his case at the Department of Justice.

Drug suspect Changxin Wang is a respondent in a drug case involving a entrapment operation in February 2012.

According to the agency, Wang was caught in possession of a huge quantity of illegal drugs.
PDEA alleged that Wang is a member of a big time drug syndicate.

Wang’s bank account was said to have been used by the alleged syndicate in its money trail.

His arrest was made possible owing to a warrant of arrest issued by the Branch 103 of the Regional Trial Court of Quezon City.

The arrest warrant was served by the drug enforcement agency after Wang attended the preliminary investigation hearing at the Justice department in connection with his motion to reinvestigate the case.

Wang’s case is now under department’s jurisdiction after the court granted his motion to conduct another probe of the case filed against him.

Wang’s co-respondent, Mark Sy Tan, is also undergoing preliminary investigation at the department.

Besides Wang, Tan is also facing charges of sale of dangerous drugs and conspiracy in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 leveled against him by the drug enforcement agency.

Wang, along with Matthew Tan and Go Hong Bing aliases “Clarence Chen Go” and “Tony Go” were both arrested in an operation when they allegedly tried to sell shabu worth P3.6 million to a poseur buyer last February in Quezon City.
