Ex-village exec gunned down

Four motorcycle-riding men shot a former barangay official to death, after the latter responded in a shooting incident in Caloocan City.

The unidentified suspects, who were reportedly wearing black helmets and armed with caliber .45 pistols, fired at the victim Yusop Domato, 52, of Brgy. Tala of Santa Rita North, when the latter rushed to the crime scene with two other barangay officers.

Victims who were hit in the shooting were taken to a nearby hospital, but Domato was declared dead on arrival.

Police authorities soon put up a checkpoint in the vicinity of the crime scene, but efforts to immediately apprehend the suspect did not succeed.
