Petron cuts gas, hikes diesel prices
At least one oil company will implement price adjustments on Tuesday, following last week’s movement.
In an advisory, Petron announced that the company is set to implement a price cut for Blaze 100,
XCS and Xtra by P0.40 a liter and P0.15 a liter for Pinoy gasoline and regular.
Meanwhile, the company will increase diesel products by P.25 a liter and P0.40 a liter for kerosene.
Other companies had yet to announce their respective price adjustments as of press time.
On the first week of January, local players imposed almost a similar movement, decreasing prices of diesel and kerosene by P0.15 a liter but increasing the price of premium gasoline by P0.15 a liter.
During the last week of December 2012, oil companies raised prices of premium and unleaded gasoline by P0.75 a liter, regular gasoline by P0.65 a liter, diesel by P0.20 a liter and kerosene by P0.30 a liter.
