FILIPINO pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquaio said he would undergo a 10-week rigid training for his third fight against archrival Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez slated November 12 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
“He [Marquez] is very serious because he knows he would be too proud if he beats me. So I train hard even though I already know his style,” said Pacquiao, adding that he would not allow the Mexican to succeed in his mission,
Marquez is in the country for the launch of the media tour that would take him and Pacquiao to Manila, New York, Los Angeles and Mexico City to promote their third bout.
Marquez, upon his arrival in Manila said that that he would not waste any time in honing his skills and strength because he’s determined to beat Pacquiao and gain the respect of the whole world particularly the Filipinos.
Pacquiao’s 10-week training would be conducted by his long-time coach Freddie Roach, trainer Buboy Fernandez and strength and conditioning expert Alex Ariza, The last phase of the training camp would consists of hard sparring sessions against various opponents.
