VETERAN bowler Biboy Rivera received his seventh straight Team Prima Bowler of the Year award at the Prima Annual Awards Night on Saturday in Dasmariñas Village, Makati City.
Rivera, the 2006 World Championship master gold winner expressed his desire to serve as a role model to junior bowlers who compete locally and abroad.
“It was very rewarding for me to win the Prima Bowler of the Year award for the last seven years. I really wanted to be a role model to all young bowlers,” said the national player Rivera, 38, who was also a gold medalist in the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou.
“I’m encouraging our young bowlers to keep practicing because they are the ones next in line. They will represent our country soon in various tourneys,” added Rivera, a pioneer member of Team Prima founded by Chairman Alexander Lim.
