Henares, Jeremillo shine in PNSA tilt

DANIEL Henares won a gold and silver medal in the monthly Philippine National Shooting Association (PNSA) Bench rest open competition on Tuesday at the Marine’s shooting range in Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City.


Henares, the 2012 semi automatic shooter of the year, has moved up to the light varmint class and posted 732 points in the 50-meter event to win the gold medal. Arvie Jeremillo (725) and Noni Alvero (722) finished second and third, respectively.

In the light varmint 25-meter class, Henares finished second. Ilocos shooter Oscar Redondo managed to equal his 748 points for first place and won in the succeeding tiebreaker.

In the heavy varmint class, Edwin Jeremillo posted 738 in the 50-meter and 748 in the 25-meter to win the gold medal in both events.

The other winners were Marlon Palmario (722) 25-meter airgun event, Felino Neri (707) sporter class and Boni borces (721) 25-meter HV airgun.
