JEWEL IN THE SOUTH RISES
Come 2013, the events scene in southern Metro Manila will brim with life as the newly-opened Filinvest Tent is set to host exciting expos, forums, concerts, bazaars, graduations, fashion shows, corporate gatherings, private functions and many more fun activities.
Located at Filinvest City, Alabang, The Filinvest Tent is dubbed the “jewel” of the 244-hectare fully-integrated, self-contained and master-planned urban center. Jewel because the events place features a majestic 12-meter pointed canopy—reminiscent of the Arabian Nights—that towers and shines over Filinvest City’s lush green landscape.
Besides its beautiful shape, the Filinvest Tent also boasts of its 2,000-square meters unobstructed hall space. This does not only make the venue the first and only tent in southern Manila, but also the biggest among event tents and the third biggest among exhibition tents in Metro Manila.
With its sheer space, the Filinvest Tent can accommodate a maximum of 1,000 guests. It also offers flexible accommodations by dividing the huge open are into two 1,000 sqm-space each. It also has a 400-sqm pre-function and registration area, a well-appointed VIP lounge, a drop-off lobby with a canopied driveway and ample parking space.
“We are raising the bar for developments in the metro. With its size and world-class features and amenities, the Filinvest Tent is the event locale this side of the metropolis. With progress moving southward, Filinvest City makes sure it leads where the action is,” said Danilo Antonio, managing director of Filinvest Alabang Inc.’s Commercial Centers Group.
The Filinvest Tent formally opened venue last month with its maiden three-day event The Events Suppliers Expo. It was followed by a Christmas bazaar this month mounted by the Zonta Club of Alabang.
Easy access
Even though the Filinvest Tent is located in the south, the Filinvest group still believes that it can cater to Filipinos who live even in the northern part of Metro Manila. This is because of major roads that have paved way to Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
The venue is easily accessible through major thoroughfares: SLEX, Alabang-Zapote Road, Old National Highway, Daang Hari and Skyway directly linked to Filinvest City entry and exit points and is only an easy 15-minute drive from Makati; and 10 minutes from the NAIA airport via the Skyway.
More developments
Filinvest City is home to Northgate Cyberzone, which houses major business process outsourcing firms such as HSBC, Convergys, Genpact, eTelecare, APAC, Verizon to a name a few.
More than just real estate, Filinvest City has changed Southern living with world class developments. Part of recent upgrades includes the launch of The Grills at South Station, a grillery and bar strip; and expansion of Festival Supermall, its flagship project.
Last month, the Filinvest City has also opened Crimson Hotel which boasts of 345 rooms, six meeting rooms, a 564-square meter grand ballroom, five food and beverage outlets and concierge, a swimming pool, gym, spa and business center.
The five-star hotel is part of the four-tower Entrata Urban Complex beside the mall. “The Entrata Shopping Center, at the ground and second floors of Entrata’s first tower, would open by the first quarter of 2013. It will have more than 50 retail outlets, specialty shops, services, wellness centers, international restaurants and a 4,000-square meter entertainment facility,” said Antonio.
