This month, Yahoo! launched Technostorm [http://ph.news.yahoo.com/technostorm/], an interactive online site featuring cutting-edge products and services from leading global and local brands.
Complete with news updates on tech trends, an expert column featuring popular Q&A’s and e-commerce capabilities, the site, which is now live on Yahoo! News, builds up to an on-ground exposition at one of Manila’s largest venues the Trinoma Mall. Hosted by Yahoo!, the exposition runs from November 26 to December 2, 2012, and accessible to anyone who is a technology enthusiast.
Utilizing Yahoo!’s rich media solutions, the country’s leading tech, telecommunications and connectivity brands including Microsoft, Smart Telecom, Nokia, HP, Epson, Sony, Wi Tribe, PLDT, Sharp, Sun Cellular, LG, Samsung, Lazada, Globe and Phillips have created a “Virtual Expo” showcasing their up-and-coming products and services premiering in the country. Each brand occupies its own assigned page and consists of product information, drive-to-site links, video features and a full preview of the gadgets.
The site also features “Tech Trends,” containing a wide range of up-to-date news and information on technology-related topics exclusively curated by Yahoo! Philippines’ editorial team, and an “Ask The Expert” column where users can pose questions and read independent reviews of the panel; this includes blogger and gadgets pro Abe Olandres; social media practitioner Tonyo Cruz; InterAksyon.com tech journalist and editor, Jing Garcia; and e-commerce expert, Janette Toral.
“Technostorm is a celebration of all things tech. Yahoo’s digital capabilities provide a unique platform for Filipinos to explore, discover and understand the world of technology, and bring them face-to-face with gadgets and devices that create connectivity,” said Arlene Amarante, Country Ambassador and Sales Director of Yahoo! Philippines.
“At Yahoo!, we are always looking for creative ways to connect people with what matters most and are committed to bring inspiring and entertaining experiences to our users.” Amarante concluded.
