THE Philippines’ Under-23 football team would get training support from the German Football Association (DBF) according to Azkals’ German coach Hans Michael Weiss.
“They are very happy to see Philippine football growing and reaching higher levels,” said Weiss, referring to the Azkals’ reaching the second round of the World Cup qualifiers.
Weiss said he would bring two new Filipino-German players as well as a German technical director to evaluate the country’s football program. An experienced assistant coach for the Philippine U-23 team would also be commissioned as part of the preparation for the Southeast Asian Games in Indonesia in November.
