MUMBAI: India’s biggest IT sourcing firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) reported a 4.2 percent increase in quarterly earnings on Tuesday, just missing analysts’ estimates.

The software giant said net profit for the three months to March 31 rose to 66.08 billion rupees ($1.02 billion) from 63.40 billion rupees for the same period last year.
