• ‘Ineng’ strands 576 passengers


    Inclement weather caused by Typhoon “Ineng” has so far stranded 576 passengers, 21 ships, 25 motorbancas and two rolling cargoes in various ports of the country.

    This was disclosed by the Philippine Coast Guard in its 4 a.m. update Saturday.
    This can be broken down into 50 passengers for Aparri and 10 motorbancas; 22 passengers and one vessel for Catbalogan; one ship and one motorbanca for Bacolod; 11 passengers and four motorbancas for Roxas City; three passengers and three motorbancas for San Joe De Buenavista; 369 passengers, 13 ships and one motorbanca for Cebu; one ship and four motorbancas for Tagbilaran; 42 passengers for Sorsogon; 17 passengers, five vessels and two rolling cargoes for Masbate; 25 passengers for Camarines Sur and one motorbanca; 22 passengers and one motorbanca for Batangas and 15 for Romblon.
