• Inmates seek transfer of Bong, Jinggoy

Other detainees at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame have signed and released a manifesto seeking the immediate transfer of Senators Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada and Ramon “Bong” Revilla to another jail.

A handwritten manifesto signed by 58 inmates at the PNP custodial center complained that the two senators and their visitors were “magulo [disorderly].”

The other detainees said the relief of PNP Custodial Center warden, Supt Mario Malana, did not solve the problem created by the two high-profile personalities of the custodial Center.

They claimed that operations of the custodial center have been running smoothly for the past decade under Malana and the outcry over the overstaying visitors of the two senators was only blown-up in the media.

The other inmates said trouble only started when the two senators arrived at the custodial center late last month.

Among those who signed the manifest were Revilla’s chief of staff Atty. Richard Cambe, Communist rebel leaders Benito and Wilma Tiamzon, Hansel Marantan, Khair Mundos, Atty. Lintang Bedol, Supr. Rommel Miranda, Wang Li and Abdul Gani Andal,

Former PNP officials detained at the custodial center were not on the list of signatories.

It can be recalled that Malana was asked to explain why several visitors of the senators were seen leaving the custodial center at dawn on Sunday, which was against the visiting policies.
