Rustan’s, as part of its month-long Inspired Living event in August, held an evening of inspiring home ideas at Rustan’s in Shangri-la Plaza Mall, Mandaluyong City.

The night of festivities began as host Bobby Yan introduced Marilen Tantoco, Rustan’s vice president for Home Merchandising, who formally welcomed everyone to the lovely occasion. Chairman Emeritus Ambassador Bienvenido Tantoco Sr. also graced the event.

Bringing the beauty of home design in the spotlight were Rustan’s collaborators for the Inspired Living festivity—interior designers Tessa Alindogan and Ana Rocha, as well as design blogger Marilen Montenegro—who created inspiring spaces at Rustan’s Shangri-La.

The collaborators behind the featured vignettes were recognized on stage and were asked to share their inspiration behind each set-up. Alindogan expressed her thoughts on creating a “Classic bedroom with a twist” which truly complements and presents the elegant yet inventive personality of Rustan’s President Donnie Tantoco.

Meanwhile, Montenegro’s “Rustic Chic” dining set up is inspired by Bianca King’s fanciful yet down-to-earth character.

Last but not least, Rocha visualized Borromeo’s antechamber with a musing room inspired by Mia’s love for adventures.

These inspired living settings surely offer a view of what is in store for customers from the roster of remarkable international brands of home décor and lifestyle available at Rustan’s.

After the presentation, guests were given an opportunity to go around and marvel at the vignettes up close to see what the home floor has to offer. Different booths were also on every corner and side of the home floor, capturing the interest of home enthusiasts, VIPs and other guests to try different activities that commemorate the various aspects of healthy living.

Guests experienced how to make latte art and other coffee concoctions, healthy juice making using Bugatti, Hurom, Kuvings, Breville and Matsone appliances, do-it-yourself flower arrangements at Rustan’s Flower Shop, the Dyson Challenge, easy recipes from Tefal, Cuisinart, and Omega Dehydrator, and easy baking and cupcake decorating using Kitchenaid and Kitchencraft appliances.

The lively vibe of the affair was complemented with a music performance by Ryan Sy, which established a fun and light tone at the Rustan’s Inspired Living launch.
