As part of an ongoing effort to better serve and engage fans, Iowa Speedway has revamped the track’s digital experience ahead of Wide Opening Weekend on June 19-20.
The new Iowa Speedway website is the first external site built by NASCAR Digital Media, which also oversees NASCAR.com, the sport’s ultimate destination for NASCAR news, content and live race-day experiences.
In 2015, NASCAR Digital Media generated a record with 1.1 billion page views on NASCAR.com, NASCAR mobile web and the NASCAR Mobile app.
The Iowa Speedway announced the launch of its new website on Thursday. It features a fresh look, improved navigation and social media integration that will make IowaSpeedway.com a destination for race fans throughout the year.
The completely redesigned site focuses on streamlined content that is easy to navigate and optimized for desktop and mobile devices alike. Fans will immediately notice how the Iowa Speedway’s branding carries throughout the site and how news and social media take a front seat on the homepage.
“With the roll out of the new website, Iowa Speedway fans now have a greatly improved resource to keep them informed of all that our track has to offer,” said Iowa Speedway president Jimmy Small. “Our website is a key ingredient of our commitment to customer service, so we want to make sure it’s easy to use and as helpful as any of our staff.”
“To go along with the expanded content and added features, the new layout and design better fits our brand image. So for fans who want to buy tickets to one of our NASCAR, IndyCar or ARCA races or for those who want to stay informed of all that is happening at Iowa Speedway, the new site will make the experience that much more enjoyable,” Small added.
The new content is divided between four main sections: Events, Fan Center, News and Buy Tickets. Showcasing beautiful imagery from Iowa Speedway and information that is most pertinent to fans, IowaSpeedway.com will be a welcomed resource year-round but especially during race weeks when site traffic increases. The user experience is simple and seamless, too, thanks to the intuitive design and well-displayed links.
Besides the updated look that captures the Iowa Speedway’s “Fastest Short Track on the Planet” essence, the new website promises to help current and future race fans educate themselves and plan trips to the central Iowa racing venue.
The key features of the new website include:
• All new Iowa Speedway branding with updated graphics and hi-res images of the Speedway
• Easy-to-use navigation that flows seamlessly between four main sections: Events, Fan Center, News and Buy Tickets
• Iowa Speedway social media integration and industry news feeds
• Updated facility maps and directions
• Fan Center section to better prepare fans for race days
• Improved acknowledgment of Iowa Speedway partners on every page
