IPC mechanics bag awards in Isuzu World Technician Competition

D2---Isuzu-Winners20151222Isuzu Philippine Corporation (IPC) recently received recognitions for its technical talents in the field of vehicle services in this year’s I-1 Grand Prix: Isuzu World Technician Competition held last November 4 at Isuzu’s technical facility in Tokyo, Japan.

Participated by different Isuzu subsidiaries worldwide, each company sent delegates to compete against other teams under different service categories to demonstrate their technical competencies.

In the event competition, Team Isuzu Philippines bagged the top spot in the Commercial Vehicle Division-Category B. Heading the team was coach Napoleon Marquez with technicians Ramie Monterola (Isuzu Makati) and Arman Bulahan (Isuzu Davao).

Another feather on the cap was added for Team Isuzu Philippines after taking the second place in the Light Commercial Vehicle Division. The podium finish victory was made by coach Ernesto Corocoto Jr. (IPC) with technicians Martt Erruze Pugay (Isuzu Pasig) and Ruben Cerillo Jr. (Isuzu Pasig).

IPC president Hajime Koso, who joined IPC early this year, was elated that IPC has been a constant winner in the annual meet. According to Koso, the accomplishment shows the kind of service that the local arm of Isuzu has been providing in the Philippine automotive industry.

“Last year, the mechanics from IPC finished second in Category B, which is on Emission Regulation for N-Series, Euro 4 or Lesser. Two years ago, they have also been in the top three. These mechanics are artists in their own way. I hope that they continue to strive hard to deliver quality services to the Filipino automotive market,” he said.

Designed to determine their technicians’ knowledge and techniques, the Isuzu World Technical Competition is eyed to reinforce the level of service of the Isuzu within the respective country they are in. The definitive objective for the Japanese car brand is to provide quality aftersales service.
