Irish caught in Laoag airport for marijuana possession


AUTHORITIES at the Laoag International Airport arrested an Irish national after he was caught with two sticks of dried marijuana leaves while about to board a Cebu Pacific plane bound for Manila Sunday night.

Police said Eanna O’cochlain, 53, a passenger of Cebu Pacific flight 5J405, was apprehended by security screening officers of Laoag International Airport after the two sticks of dried marijuana leaves were found in his possession during the routine check.

O’cochlain was turned over to the Philippine National Police-Aviation Security Group based in Laoag City for proper disposition.
