Irishman leads parade for Iloilo sick dogs

ILOILO CITY: A volunteer worker from the United Kingdom will lead a dog parade – “Bed push for voiceless dogs” – on Saturday for a one kilometer walk from the provincial capitol to Plaza Libertad here in a move to call awareness on how to fairly treat dogs, especially the sick ones and other animals. Patrick Murray, 72, married to an Ilongga in Tigbauan has been doing charity work for 40 years in his own hometown. His project is in collaboration with city veterinarian Tomas Forteza. Murray said sick and abandoned dogs are not only a problem in the city but also around the world.
