ILAGAN CITY: Isabela on Wednesday joined nationwide efforts to help victims of typhoon Yolanda by sending medical and search and rescue personnel as well as relief goods, including 1,000 cavans of rice, to Leyte.
Gov. Faustino Dy 3rd said a 90-man medical and search and rescue personnel was sent to assist in the ongoing relief operations in Tacloban City and other areas.
The provincial administrator’s office said the Isabela contingent consisted of 10 doctors, 10 nurses, six police and fire personnel, and search and rescue teams from the Red Cross and the provincial government.
Provincial administrator lawyer Noel Lopez said P500,000 worth of medicines, two ambulance units, four vehicles, water purifiers, carpentry tools were also transported to Leyte,
