• Isuzu Philippines posts robust Q1 sales

The local unit of Japanese vehicle manufacturer Isuzu finished the first quarter of 2014 with a solid year-to-date sales performance, with the management expressing confidence that growth will continue toward the end of the year. Based on its sales record, Isuzu Philippines Corp.’s (IPC) sold 3,068 vehicles in the first three months of the year, a 12-percent rise over the 2,734 units sold during the corresponding period in 2013. The IPC attributed the increase in sales to the market strength of its pickup and light-duty truck models. In the light commercial vehicle segment, the Isuzu D-MAX was its top-seller  from January to March, with 943 units sold, registering a 77.3-percent rise from the 532 units delivered a year earlier.
