The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on Monday welcomed its newly appointed undersecretary for management services.
Nora Terrado replaced DTI Undersecretary Zenaida Maglaya, who was assigned to the DTI Regional Operation and Development Group (RODG), which was formerly headed by Merly Cruz who retired from his post in June.
Terrado will now be in charge of all DTI administrative and support offices: general administrative service; financial management service; management information service; human resource development and personnel service; office of operational planning and the Trade and Industry information center.
Terrado was a former official of the Information Technology-Business Processing Management industry. She was president of global financing consulting and IT services company Headstrong Philippines Inc. and was vice president and site leader of Headstrong projects, being in service to them for nine years.
She also had numerous executive positions in different international companies in Southeast Asian countries.
Other than Headstrong, she was affiliated with other groups and companies such as Harper Group, Ernst and Young, Philippine Software Industry Association, IT-Business Process Outsourcing Association of the Philippines and American Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines.
