There is not an ounce of doubt that James Reid and Nadine Lustre are the hottest young stars in Philippine showbiz today what with August 28 officially declared as “JaDine World Day” for their fans in anticipation of their return to prime time TV this Monday with the series Till I Met You.
The lead up to the reel- and real-life couple’s “World Day” was preceded by events all over town which spotlighted Reid and Lustre in various events via this quick recap below.
‘Forever Love’ fans day
SM Mall of Asia’s Music Hall saw throngs of shrieking JaDine followers as fast food chain Jollibee hosted a special fans’ day for Reid and Lustre in conjunction with the launch of its new Sweet-Spicy BBQ Burger Steak. Given the hashtag #NewForeverLove fans day, the event allowed the audience to ask their idols about their relationship on and off camera, which the famous lovebirds gamely answered.
JaDine openly revealed they officially got together in March, and have since surprised each other on both special and regular days. Lustre made sure she lined up birthday treats for Reid in May, while Reid wrote a song for Lustre “just because.”
On August 28, Reid and Lustre were on the set of ABS-CBN’s Sunday noontime show ASAP where they kicked off a jam-packed schedule for the “JaDine World Day.” The episode showed the pair in a romantic duet of Till I Met You, which is sung for the series by Kyla.
Straight from the ABS-CBN Studios where ASAP is shown live every week, JaDine rushed to nearby Le Reve Events Place for the grand press conference of Till I Met You. There, the series’ main stars introduced their impressive support cast led by JC Santos, Carmina Villaroel, Zoren Legaspi, Angel Aquino, Pokwang, Kim Molina, and Robert Seña with the special participation of Richard Yap and Jay Manalo. The series is co-directed by blockbuster filmmakers Antonette Jadaone and Andoy Ranay. Those who were present praised the pair for being very easy to work with, noting that despite their huge celebrity, they remain humble and down to earth.
To cap the daylong activities of JaDine World Day, the couple tirelessly made their way to the grand fans’ day in TriNoMa Mall, which was followed with Till I Met You’s special screening at the cinema.
A co-production of ABS-CBN and Dreamscape Television Entertainment TIMY is enjoying its premiere week with high ratings thanks to a refreshing storyline. The series sees Lustre as Iris, a girl from a simple family who wishes to give her loved ones a better life. She decides to fly to Greece with childhood sweetheart Ali (JC Santos) to try her luck where they will meet Basti (Reid), a rebellious character who works as a tour guide in the European country. Basti and Ali become good friends until their bond is put to the test when Basti falls for Iris.
