The Philippines will join the basketball competition in the Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia, from August 18 to September 2 after all.
Al Panlilio, president of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP), Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Commissioner Willie Marcial and PBA Chairman Ricky Vargas along with other PBA board members made the announcement in a news conference on Sunday prior to the start of Game 5 of the best-of-seven championship series of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.
