More than 10,000 avid fans of Nadine Lustre and James Reid—endearingly dubbed as JaDine—went to the launch of JaDine’s Scrapbook containing intimate and never-before-seen photos and bits of their lovable pair.
As early as 6 a.m. on Septemer 19, fans already started going to the venue at Ayala Fairview Terraces, enduring the long hours of wait. But everything was worth it as the pair not only signed copies but also performed for their loyal followers.
Indeed, JaDine is one of the phenomenal love teams in the Philippines today despite debuting only in 2014 through the top-grossing, rom-com film Diary ng Panget. Today, the “trending” pair has millions of followers on major social networking sites and loyal fan bandwagon that supports them in almost every shows they hold.
But even as it is, the hardworking young stars are still humbled and grounded as they grant a 45-minute meet and greet session for 300 lucky fans.
This is the first time ABS-CBN and Viva Entertainment held a scrapbook launch for a prime love team, which was successfully capped off with sold out 2,000 copies readied for the event.
As for Nadine and James, thanks giving to the fans and supporters were unending.
“Yes, opo. I mean, we really owe our fans a lot. Talagang every night naman po napapa-trend po nila ang every episode ng On the Wings of Love so we’re really very happy na ganun po ‘yung supporta nila samin,” Nadine cheerfully told reporters after the event.
On the Wings of Love—JaDine’s debut primetime teleserye on ABS-CBN—has been garnering high ratings and trending online, thanks to the show’s light but relevant premise of two overseas Filipino workers in San Francisco, USA who tied the knot solely for business reasons but found themselves falling in love with each other in the process.
On what fans can expect from the show, they revealed that there will be more “kilig” scenes following the memorable #TheMostApprovedKiss episode, which saw the pair finally kissing on screen.
“There are more scenes that are much more kilig than what we’ve seen so far. It gets better and better,” James said.
Aside from acting, both artists are also bankable in the music scene. The two of them have already released self-titled albums. Because of this, they were both nominated under the Best Southeast Asian Act of the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA). Tepresenting the Philippines, they competing with regional artists such as Faizal Tahir of Malaysia, NOAH of Indonesia, Slot Machine of Thailand, Son Tung M-TP of Vietnam and The Sam Willows of Singapore.
“It’s our first time we’re seen in an international awards. I mean, I don’t know how to react to this. It’s a different feeling; it’s a different level,” James noted.
With their musical success, JaDine expressed their hopes on holding a major concert sometime next year, but said they are focused on their primetime teleserye at the moment.
