I am writing this to make people aware of our recent unpleasant experience with Philippine Airlines.

Normally, I do not complain for anything but given the horrible experience with PAL recently, I feel the need to inform others. We have emailed Client Relations Department at wecare@pal.com.ph on October 20th and even physically went to the PNB Financial Center on October 21 to speak to Sarah Reyes (Mgr. Client Relations), we were told by the CRO (Paolo) that only Senior Management can make decisions and there was nothing they could do for us. Needless to say, we wasted our time and efforts going there since only Senior Management can make decisions. Sarah Reyes did not even bother to speak to us or reply to our email.

On October 19th we were in Boracay and were scheduled to fly out of Caticlan Airport at 11:00 AM flight number PR2060. We were at the airport early and were placed in the 9:55 AM flight instead. An announcement was made at around 9 AM that the flight is delayed. We went up to the Check In counter and asked if there is a possibility of our flight being cancelled since Cebu Pacific Airline flights were being cancelled. We had a connecting flight from Manila to Canada at 3 PM that day and we did not want to miss it. The Philippine Airlines Rep advised us that the flight is simply delayed and wait for further announcements. Three hours later our flight was cancelled and we were transported to Kalibo Airport to catch an 8 PM flight to Manila.

My husband and I understand that the flights were cancelled due to weather conditions in Caticlan. However, Philippine Airlines MADE NO EFFORT to find us an alternate or partner carrier to get us home to Canada sooner than October 22nd. As a result, we had to pay 3 nights of hotel bills in Manila, food and missed 3 days of work in Canada (no pay). PAL did nothing to help us not even upgrade to First Class ticket to make up for the inconvenience it has caused us.

      DO NOT fly PAL, they…

Our flight to Iloilo PR2933 was delayed for 2 hrs today Nov 6, and we were assigned at S4 which doesn’t have a ramp. With the price we’re paying do you think this is fair for us. No food was given for the delay and the sad part we had to walk down the stairs with our luggages and had to take a bus. I cannit understand how your company could take this. We felt we’re being cheated.
