In early returns released on Thursday by the NBA, James leads all vote-getters with 609,336. Indiana’s Paul George is next in the Eastern Conference with 489,335. Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant is the Western Conference’s top vote-getter with 607,407. Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant, who only returned to action this month, eight months after surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon, still leads the voting for the Western Conference backcourt with 501,215.
