“She may be a heroine,” said Caloocan Bishop Deogracias Iñiguez in referring to alleged brains of the P10-billion pork barrel plunder Janet Lim-Napoles, and added that her testimony can help bring light for the truth and for the good of the country.
Also, Marbel Bishop Dinualdo Gutierrez said that Napoles has to attend the Senate hearing so that the people should know the truth behind the pork barrel scam.
Napoles has allegedly used the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or pork barrel of the lawmakers’ aligning it to her dubious non-government organizations.
“Yes [she has to attend]because she is already subpoenaed and her testimony will ferret out the truth,” Sorsogon Bishop Arturo Bastes said.
When the gargantuan pork barrel plunder was exposed, organizations around the country have pushed for pork postponement, including the proposed people’s initiative of former Chief Justice Reynato Puno.
Meanwhile, Bulacan Bishop Jose Oliveros urged Napoles to name names implicated in the pork barrel scam.
“Let her face the music. I hope she will say the truth. Let her name names. The Filipino people want to know where our taxes,” he said.
Jaro Archbishop Angel Lagdameo also said that Napoles should attend and expose her side of the truth “in order that justice may be served for the sake of the common good.”
