TOKYO: Japan summoned China’s ambassador on Tuesday after the country’s ships were spotted near disputed East China Sea islands for a fifth straight day.
Foreign minister Fumio Kishida called in Cheng Yonghua, Beijing’s envoy to Tokyo, the foreign ministry said -- the second such summons since Friday.
