Japanese faces estafa case


A JAPANESE is now facing a string of criminal cases and possible deportation after allegedly swindling a firm in Mandaluyong City. Police record showed that Tajima Syuichi, secretary general of ECOS Environmental Foundation based in Makati City, was the supplier of electric tricycles (e-trikes) to EV Wealth, a subsidiary of Guevent Investments Development Corporation. Palermo “Boying” Soriano, GIDC chief operating officer, said they filed an estafa case against Syuichi after he failed to deliver the initial 30 units of e-trikes after gave a down payment of between P8 million to P15 million. Syuichi was arrested by the Mandaluyong police on June 9 and has posted bail.
