Twenty-one Japanese high school students from the Nagasaki Prefectural Seiryo High School recently visited the Philippines from February 1 to 9 under the JENESYS2015 Programme.
The JENESYS Programme is an initiative launched by the Government of Japan to strengthen mutual understanding between Japan and the Philippines through their respective youths.
This year, the program’s theme and focus was the commemoration of the 70th year of the end of World War II. In line with this, the Japanese students conducted special presentations and performances for their Philippine counterparts during the school exchange program between February 4 to 6. Their scheduled activities also included visits to the Japanese Memorial Garden in Caliraya and battle site of Corregidor, as well as a home-visit to a Filipino family.
