THE National Language Skills Institute of the Technical Education and Skills (Tesda) will provide six months training on Japanese language and culture to some 220 Japan-bound Filipino nurses and caregivers. The training is part of Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement (JPEPA) that will boost the health workers’ chances of passing the Japanese licensure examinations needed for a permanent work in Japan. The bath of trainees will be deployed to Japan by June next where they will also undergo additional six-month comprehensive language training.
