Tempura set meal from Tenya

Proof that Filipinos continue to patronize Japanese cuisine, two restaurants specializing in different dishes from the Land of the Rising Sun have set up stores in the Philippines.

On top of the list is Tenya, which arrives in the Philippines armed with a standardized cooking technique that promises a balance of flavor and texture in their range of tempuras. Besides this, the restaurant’s signature Don Tare sauce makes for a unique Japanese dining experience with its special blend of secret sauces of “umami” (delicious) flavors. The sauce is so exclusive, in fact, that it is shipped from Japan to Tenya’s more than 150 branches across Asia.

The famous Genki Sushi of Japan has also arrived in Manila, introducing its own brand of dining. With a “purist modern concept,” Genki Sushi offers the Philippine market its own take on Chirashi Don, Seared Salmon with Black Pepper, Chicken Teriyaki Don, River Eel Rice Bowl, and California Maki among others.

The authentic Japanese flavors are given a modern touch with an immersive dining experience via Genki’s integrated iPad Touch ordering and Kousoku Express Train System that are both speedy and convenient.
