Eager to make their restaurant a “blockbuster hit,” the owners of Filipino food chain Kuya J has sought the celebrity power of Jericho Rosales as brand ambassador.
Dubbed as their “bidang endorser,” Jericho or Echo, as he is fondly called in the biz, is one of the country’s award-winning drama actors, who always pulls in a crowd around everything he does.
The restaurant most recently took notice of Echo in his top-rated teleserye Bridges of Love where he played the role of a brother and a “kuya.”
According to COO Danny Pumarega they chose Jericho because of his wholesome personality and good vibes—the traits of a true big brother.
“We are also happy working with him because he is very involved with the brand. He’s even shared some ideas on for our print and TV ads,” added the executive, who is also aware that the actor took directorial courses abroad.
On his end, Jericho related he agreed to endorse the restaurant since it satisfied his requirements in every project he pursues. “[I ask] first, is it going to inspire people? Second, is it going to serve the community or may value ba ‘yan? Third, may long-lasting effect ba ’yan? I considered those things when I said yes for Kuya J because the restaurant stands for family, for gatherings and celebrations.”
With the handsome actor as their new face, Kuya J is confident he will help make them a blockbuster in the restaurant industry.
