The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is all set to participate at the Travel Tour Expo (TTE) come February 5 to 7 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Besides showcasing Korea’s diverse products, KTO will also hold a meet and greet with Korea Tourism Honorary Ambassador and Filipina celebrity Jessy Mendiola on February 6, to be followed by a live one-on-one interview.
Themed “Spring Blossoms in Korea” the Korean Pavilion will be located at booths 302 to 311, and will complement those of Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, Busan Tourism Organization, Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, and Jeju Air.
Moreover, KTO will feature live dance and musical performances showcasing both Korean and Filipino talents. Special segments will also be carried out through the three-day program, such as Korean cooking demonstrations, a presentation of the latest K-Pop fashion, and a glam makeover, among others.
According to KTO, Korea received a total of 403,622 Filipino tourists in 2015, posting a decrease of 7.2-percent compared to the previous year’s total of 434,951. The decline is attributed to the MERS outbreak in the country. However, from September to December after the outbreak was controlled, there has been a steady influx of tourists rivaling the previous year’s performance.
The TTE is organized by the Philippine Travel Agencies Association.
