Ace Spanish musician Nacho Mastretta and his orchestra are flying to Manila to join on stage Johnny Alegre, one of the best jazz guitarists in the Philippines, in the fourth and final installment of the Posporo(s) concert series on December 10 at 19 East Bar.
Alegre will be accompanied by well-known names in the city´s music scene such as Alvin Cornista, Ryan Villamor, Jay Cummings and Bergan Nuñez.
Posporo(s) primarily seeks to facilitate the exchange and meeting on stage between Spanish and Filipino musicians, aside from promoting Spanish alternative music in the Philippines.
Each of the four Posporo(s) concerts pairs a Spanish band with a Filipino group for the interaction held in different venues and cities in Metro Manila, thus fitting into the organic network of live music in the city.
Along with local band The Sleepyheads, Pablo Und Destruktion and his band La Tribu del Trueno ignited the first sparks of Posporo(s) last September in Bar 1951 in Malate. The second concert was held in October with Soleá Morente and Kalayo performing in ’70s Bistro, and the third in November at Club XX XX in Makati City.
