DAVAO CITY: The new judge who is supposed to handle the murder case filed against former Davao del Sur Gov. Douglas Cagas inhibited herself only two days after the case was re-raffled and assigned to her.
Judge Magnolia Velez of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 20 chose to inhibit because of her supposed affinity to the family of Cagas, the alleged brains in the 2010 murder of Digos City journalist Nestor Bedolido.
