Asia’s Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose adds another milestone to her career as she wrapped up filming three music videos in San Francisco and New York in collaboration with a Los Angeles-based company called VIM Entertainment Inc.
One of the music videos she shot in the United States is for her single “Tidal Wave,” which was arranged by Sidney Brown, a.k.a. Omen. Brown is an American music producer from Harlem who has done work for artists such as Drake, Lil Wayne, and Ludacris.
On June 21, the multi-platinum recording artist successfully launched the “Tidal Wave” video on GMA Network’s musical variety program Sunday All Stars. A few days later, she faced the press and shared how exciting it was to film abroad with VIM Entertainment.
“I got to skateboard. Inaral ko siya before the shoot. Syempre malamig dun, tapos naka-jeans and cropped top lang ako, kaya lamig na lamig talaga ako,” she laughed. “Pero masaya kasi I got to work with a lot of people and such a great team. They were so professional and so nice to me.”
Julie Anne is also grateful that the whole experience allowed her to explore different sides to her artistry, as well as a roller coaster of emotions.
“In filming ‘Tidal Wave,’ I remembered how it feels to have butterflies in your stomach when you see your teenage crush,” giggled the 21-year-old recording artist and concert performer. “Nag-enjoy akong i-film yung music video, and since ‘Tidal Wave’ is very light, more of a kilig-type song, I’m sure maraming makaka-relate sa single and even the video.”
Two other music videos from Julie Anne are ready to premiere in the coming months as distributed worldwide by GMA Records.
