The Association of Studies Centers in the Philippines or the Kapisanan ng mga Bahay-saliksikan sa Bansa (KABANSA) Inc. will be holding a national conference on Local Heritage Preservation in the Philippines on January 27 to 28, 2017 with host, City of Santa Rosa.
The aim of the conference is to acquaint the public on how to preserve and conserve local and national heritage. There will be lectures and discussions on the value of local history and culture and the importance of establishing local heritage centers.
There will also be technical workshops and writeshops for crafting project proposals centered on heritage preservation and local history writing, and the like as well as a cultural and heritage tour of Santa Rosa which will be spearheaded by the Santa Rosa Studies Center.
Cultural workers, academics, and students are encouraged to join with a registration fee P500 that includes meals for January 27, kit and certificate of participation. Tour for the second day shall be arranged separately with the conference secretariat.
