KALIBO town in Aklan province will have an Ati-Atihan gallery soon that will feature its rich history and traditions through photographs, documents and collections. Albert Menes, chairman of the Kalibo Santo Niño Ati-Atihan Foundation Inc. (Kasafi) said the gallery will be staged at the Kasafi office located at the second floor of the Kalibo-Philippine National Police. Besides the Ati-Atihan Gallery, the center will also showcase the Piña tradition of Aklan. Piña is considered as the queen of Philippine fabrics. Kasafi hopes to open the gallery by October 11 during the grand launch of the Ati-Atihan festival 2014.
