Yes, you read that right. ABS-CBN’s Sarah Geronimo and GMA Network’s Alden Richards will be sharing a single concert stage thanks to their separate endorsement contracts with a huge lending network in the country.
Both celebrity ambassadors of Cebuana Lhuillier, Geronimo and Richards—prized talents of the rival networks—will star in a series of concerts to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary in key cities nationwide.
The concerts will be held at MOA Arena Pasay City on September 1; Hoopes Dome in Cebu on September 22; and the University of Southern Philippines in Davao on October 20.
“We are proud to present the ‘Pasasalamat Concert Series’ to thank our loyal clients for their unrelenting support and trust in the company for the past 30 years. This is also our way of giving back and honoring the people who made our brand successful micro-financial company—the employees, our brand ambassadors, and most importantly, our clients,” said Cebuana Lhuillier President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier.
Tickets to the concert are free and details on how to secure them are available at any of the lending network’s 2,000 branches nationwide or via www.facebook.com/cebuanalhuillierpawnshop.
Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo’s last wowed the concert scene at a sold-out one-night only extravaganza at Smart Araneta Coliseum titled “The Great Unknown” in November 2016. She currently has a movie showing in cinemas titled, “Finally Found Someone.”
Richards, on the other hand, though primarily an actor had released an album with GMA Records and followed it up with his own sold-out first solo concert “Upsurge” at Kia Theater in May this year. In late July, the primetime actor and
“Eat Bulaga” mainstay donated a portion of the event’s proceeds to GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF).
His donation will help fund the foundation’s bridge construction project for the residents, especially the children of barangay communities Iraya and San Ramon in Buhi, Camarines Sur.
Both passionate singers, and known to nurture a big heart for others—thus their carefully chosen endorsements—Geronimo and Richard’s first concert together is certainly something to look forward to in the music scene.
