• Kaya, Archers clash in UFL today


    Fifth seeded squad Kaya FC will battle Green Archers United FC in the United Football League (UFL) 2016 at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium at 4 p.m. today.

    Kaya currently holds a record of three wins and two losses for a total of nine points while the Green Archers with two victories, a draw and a loss is currently No.7.

    The men in yellow are keen to bounce back from their 3-0 loss against leading team Global FC during their last outing in the country’s premier football league.

    Kaya will be banking on the prowess of British striker Louis Clark and Senegalese forward Robert Lopez Mendy when they face the Archers.

    Azkals standouts Kenshiro Daniels, OJ Porteria and Miguel Tanton will be providing added firepower to Kaya’s frontline while Filipino-American Anton Ugarte is also expected to step up for his crew.

    Similarly, the Archers are also aiming to return to their winning ways after losing to Loyola Meralco Sparks FC, 0-4.

    Former national team skipper Chieffy Caligdong will be leading the charge of the Green Archers with the support of young guns Chima Uzoka and Jesus Joaquin Melliza.

    Meanwhile, the Stallion FC versus Manila Nomads FC match will begin at 1:45 p.m. while winless clubs Laos FC and Pasargad FC meet at the 7:30 p.m. match.

    Stallion FC is currently No.6 with two wins, a draw and two losses while the Manila Nomads are occupying the eighth spot with two wins and three losses.

    Both Pasargad and Laos are yet to post a triumph this season following their dismal performances in their initial games.
