• Kaya braces for the kill against Laos

Eyeing to keep its unbeaten record, leading team Kaya FC Elite takes on Laos FC in the fourth match day of the Weekend Futbol League (WFL) Elite Division today at the McKinley Hill Stadium in Taguig City.

Kickoff is set at 2 p.m. with free admission.

Kaya Elite stayed unscathed in three games after a 3-2 escape against Green Archers United (GAU) FC last week at the McKinley Hill pitch.

Samuel Kouame was the lone scorer for the second team of Kaya FC-Makati, netting a hat-trick to eclipse the goals of Sherwin Basindaran and Floriano Basilan for the booters from Alabang.

Laos’ match against Manila Tala FC, which was scheduled on July 29 at the Army Support Command (Ascom) Football Field in Taguig City, was postponed due to inclement weather.

Sitting second from the bottom, the Tacloban City-based club is seeking to notch its first win in its third match.

Meanwhile, Green Archers United and FC Meralco Manila Reserve Team battle for a bounce-back win at 4 p.m. at the De La Salle-Santiago Zobel Globe Football Field in Muntinlupa City.

The second-running GAU suffered its first defeat to Kaya while Meralco Manila Reserve Team absorbed its second loss as it received a 0-5 whipping from Stallion Laguna FC B.

In the final game, listless Manila Tala springs back to action against Stallion Laguna B, which is aiming to get its first winning streak.

Fixture is scheduled to kickoff at 8 p.m. at the Bonifacio Global City Turf in Taguig.
