Kaya FC and Green Archers United FC will clash in the opening of the second round of games of the United Football League (UFL) at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium, 3 p.m. today.
Kaya FC, who emerged victorious against Green Archers United, 5-1, through the twin-goal performance of Senegalese striker Robert Lopez Mendy in the first round of eliminations.
Kaya FC is currently No. 5 with 31 points on 10 wins, a draw and five losses while the Green Archers are No. 7 with a 6-3-8 win-draw-loss card.
Consequently, the two squads registered contrasting results in their previous outings in the UFL as Kaya won over Laos FC, 8-0, while the Green Archers were thumped by Loyola Meralco Sparks FC, 1-2, in Zamboanga City.
Kaya FC are expected to rely on the frontline duo of Louis Clark and Mendy on their offense while banking on veterans Aly Borromeo and Masanari Omura on defense.
Former Azkals star Chieffy Caligdong will be leading the charge of the Green Archers against their higher-ranked foes.
