Kaya FC won over Team Socceroo FC, 5-0, in the group stage of the 2015 United Football League Cup at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium on Saturday.
The first division clubs went at it upon the opening whistle but Kaya eventually had the upper hand after sharp shooting Louis Clark struck the first goal in the ninth minute allowing his team to grab the lead.
Kaya continued their offensive resulting in another goal from their side as Masanari Omura converted an attempt off a corner kick.
Team Socceroo fought to post a goal for their squad through several counter-attacks but could not penetrate through Kaya’s tight defense.
Clark snuffed their foes hope as he dished off a blistering pass deep into the box to the running Tishan Hanley earning Kaya’s third goal in the contest.
Substitute OJ Porteria, who came in during the 79th minute for Joshua Beloya, also etched his name in the scoreboard as he notched a screamer from outside the box to extend the lead to 4-0.
